Detransitioner Chloe Cole shares personal journey of faith and regret

Chloe Cole, a prominent detransitioner, recently shared her personal testimony regarding her childhood experiences and her subsequent journey toward faith. Reflecting on a youth marked by loneliness and alienation, Cole describes how she felt fundamentally broken, leading her to believe she had been born incorrectly. She explains that the online transgender community and medical professionals offered her a sense of belonging and a solution to her distress when she was 12 years old.

Drawing on the biblical narrative of the Garden of Eden, Cole compares her past search for identity to the first temptation, suggesting that she was misled by the belief that she could become something more by looking outside of God’s design. She now advocates against the medical practices she underwent as a minor, citing a recent Department of Health and Human Services report that alleges fraudulent billing and financial incentives within the gender medicine industry. Cole states that her current faith and dedication to exposing these systems are rooted in her desire to protect other vulnerable children from the experiences she endured.
