Former activist shares personal journey of faith and sexual recovery
A former gay activist who moved from London to Australia has shared his personal testimony regarding his transition away from the gay community and into the Church. He describes how, after committing his life to Christ while in a long-term same-sex relationship, he engaged in a combination of therapy and prayer. He credits these experiences with helping him discover heterosexual potential he previously believed did not exist, eventually leading him to marry and become a father.
Following his own journey, he spent two decades supporting individuals struggling with same-sex attraction, gender dysphoria, and trauma from sexual abuse. In 2013, he founded the Survivors’ Support Network in Australia to provide peer-based assistance for those seeking sexual recovery. He maintains that his personal transformation and the support he provided to others were positive experiences, asserting that his faith in Christ offered him resolution and redemption from past pain.
