Anglican Archbishop Apologizes After Reality Show Filmed at Brisbane Cathedral

The Archbishop of Brisbane, the Most Rev. Jeremy Greaves, has issued a formal apology following the discovery that St John’s Anglican Cathedral was used as a filming location for a reality television series about OnlyFans content creators. The program, titled “Turned On: Dirty, Sexy Money,” is currently streaming on the Australian service Stan. Archbishop Greaves expressed shock at the nature of the content, stating that it does not reflect the values of the Diocese.

Diocesan leadership claims that production staff misled cathedral officials by characterizing the project as a documentary exploring faith and the complexities of life for individuals seeking inclusion in religious communities. The Diocese has requested that all footage featuring individuals other than the Dean be removed from the series, citing concerns over the program's intent and the inclusion of children in the scenes. Conversely, the production company maintains that the Dean of the cathedral had granted explicit approval for the filming.

In response to the controversy, Archbishop Greaves has condemned the series as an attempt to validate the adult entertainment industry. The Diocese has initiated a review of its internal policies to ensure more rigorous vetting processes for future filming requests.
