Digital Bible Outreach Records Nine Million Gospel Downloads in Nine Months

The Pocket Testament League reports that nearly 9 million people downloaded the Gospel of John via its mobile application between October 2025 and June 2026. This surge in digital engagement followed more than 750 million internet search engine results featuring the ministry's outreach content. Since the app's launch in 2020, total downloads have exceeded 30 million, with ministry leaders noting that nearly one-third of this total occurred within the most recent nine-month period.

Geographically, the highest levels of engagement were concentrated in the Global South. India recorded the most downloads with 3.68 million, followed by Bangladesh with 1.48 million. Significant activity was also reported in nations with restricted access to traditional Christian resources, including Iran, Afghanistan, Yemen, and Cuba. CEO David Collum stated that the data reflects a growing global trend of individuals using digital devices for spiritual inquiry.

Founded in 1893, the organization continues to distribute physical Scripture portions alongside its digital initiatives. The ministry has set a strategic goal to reach an additional 100 million people over the next three years through a combination of printed materials, partnerships, and mobile platforms.
