Christianity Today Hosts Big Tent Convening on Faith and Public Life
Christianity Today recently held its Big Tent Convening in Oakland, featuring discussions on the intersection of the church, politics, and immigration. The event opened with remarks from artist and author Sho Baraka, the former director of the Big Tent Initiative.
During an introductory session, panelists Chris Butler of the And Campaign and Liliana Reza of World Relief joined editor Haleluya Hadero to address the implications of current deportation policies. The conversation focused on how Christians can uphold human dignity and practice what the speakers termed “holy curiosity” within their local communities. The panel explored the role of believers in navigating complex political landscapes while maintaining a commitment to their faith.
