Professional Wrestler Samoa Joe Shares Testimony on Tithing at Florida Church
Professional wrestler Joe Seanoa, known as Samoa Joe, recently shared his personal journey regarding financial stewardship during a service at Grace Family Church in Florida. Speaking with Pastor Craig Altman, the 47-year-old athlete explained that he was initially skeptical of tithing due to negative experiences with the prosperity gospel. He credited his wife, who consistently practiced tithing, with helping him shift his perspective on giving.
Seanoa described his transition from viewing money as personal property to seeing himself as a steward of God’s resources. He stated that this change in mindset relieved his financial stress and allowed him to view tithing as an act of faithfulness rather than a mandatory bill. He testified that since he and his wife began tithing 10% of their income, they have consistently experienced abundance, noting that "where there wasn’t a way, God made a way."
Encouraging the congregation to commit to their faith, Seanoa expressed his desire for others to experience the same peace and blessings he has found. He concluded by inviting those in attendance to test their commitment to God, suggesting that if people are willing to try new services like Netflix, they should be willing to commit to a relationship with the Lord.
