Pastor Adam Hamilton Launches Senate Campaign Tour Focusing on Shared Values

Adam Hamilton, lead pastor of the Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kansas, has launched his "Leading From the Middle" statewide tour as the Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate. Hamilton, who is challenging incumbent Republican Senator Roger Marshall, stated that his campaign aims to bridge political divides by focusing on shared values that resonate with both Democrats and Republicans.

During a recent press call, Hamilton emphasized that his platform is rooted in biblical principles, specifically citing the command to "love your neighbor as yourself" and the call to "do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly" from Micah 6:8. He reported that he has already received support from conservative Evangelical voters who identify with these values. Hamilton, an Oral Roberts University alumnus who previously served on a faith-based advisory council during the Obama administration, argued that his focus on caring for neighbors and children aligns with the priorities of many conservative Christians.
