Evangelical Pastor Launches Historic Candidacy for Bangsamoro Parliament

Pastor Percival Lagman has announced his candidacy for the upcoming parliamentary elections in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), scheduled for September 14, 2026. Representing the Christians4Peace (C4P) party, Lagman is the first Evangelical pastor to seek a seat in the regional parliament. His campaign aims to provide a formal voice for Christian settler communities and minority groups within the region's evolving political structure.

Lagman’s platform emphasizes inclusive governance, religious freedom, and the protection of minority rights. He advocates for legislation that promotes economic development, improved social services, and disaster preparedness. By participating in the parliamentary process, the C4P party seeks to foster cooperation between Christian, Moro, and Indigenous populations.
