Sudanese Mother Shares Testimony of Faith and Escape from Persecution

Lulu, a mother of six currently living in a South Sudanese refugee camp, has shared her story of converting from Islam to Christianity and the subsequent challenges she faced. After choosing to follow Jesus, she reports that she endured repeated physical abuse from her husband, who sought to force her to renounce her faith. She describes finding comfort in a secret pocket-sized New Testament until her discovery led to further violence.

Fearing for her life and her unborn child, Lulu fled Sudan while pregnant, eventually reaching the Ajowangthog refugee camp. She expresses deep gratitude to God for her safe arrival and the ability to raise her children in the Christian faith. Despite experiencing trauma from intruders who tracked her to the camp in 2025, she maintains that her trust in the Lord remains firm. She continues to seek safety for her family while expressing thankfulness that her children are growing up with knowledge of Jesus.
