Murder trial of former worship leader Caleb Flynn continues in Ohio
The murder trial of Caleb Flynn, a 40-year-old former worship leader and television personality, entered its sixth day on Friday in Miami County, Ohio. Flynn is accused of killing his wife, Ashley, at their home in February. He has entered a plea of not guilty to the charges.
Proceedings this week featured testimony from Alleigha Botner, a former worship leader at the Christian Life Center in Butler Township, where Flynn served as a volunteer and contracted musician. Botner testified regarding a long-term affair she had with the defendant. During her time on the stand, she read text messages exchanged between the two, including statements in which Flynn allegedly expressed a desire to kill his wife while referencing religious concerns about the afterlife.
The trial, which has drawn significant public attention, also included testimony from the victim's parents. Flynn remains in court as the legal process continues to examine the circumstances surrounding his wife's death.
